Roles of Melatonin Hormone:
Melatonin is the sleep hormone. It is what makes you yawn and want to go to bed at night. Studies have shown that adults who go to bed late and wake up late in the morning have severely decreased melatonin levels, more wrinkles, and die prematurely. Also ‘shift workers’ that constantly disturb their sleep patterns die 5-7 years earlier than regular day workers.
