Medical grade ozone is safe and effective. The use of ozone to treat medical disorders was first established in Germany in the 1950’s. It is a common treatment modality in Europe and its use is growing in the USA.

What is Ozone Therapy?

We typically think of oxygen as part of the atmosphere around us, a molecule comprising 2 oxygen atoms. Ozone (O3) is also a colorless gas but is made up of 3 oxygen atoms. The extra oxygen atom makes it a “supercharged” version of oxygen and gives it the capability to do amazing things for your body. Medical grade O3is both safe and effective. It’s use in treating medical disorders was first established in Germany in the 1950’s. It is a common treatment modality in Europe and its use is growing in the USA.

How Does Ozone Help Your Body?

  • Stimulates DPG (diphosphoglycerate enzyme) which enables hemoglobin to release oxygen to the cells. This increases the body’s oxygen utilization. Diabetics commonly have a low amount of DPG.
  • Ozone enhances the blood flow and improves circulation.
  • Ozone increases anti-oxidant protection. This is especially helpful for those with chronic disease.
  • Powerful stimulant of mitochondria – the energy producers inside each cell of your body. Decreased mitochondrial energy production is a key cause of degenerative diseases–from diabetes to hear disease to cancer.
  • Strengthens your immune system by either calming down your immune system when it is overactive (auto-immune disease) or it can stimulate it when it may be under-active.
  • Kills bacteria and viruses – stops with the metabolism of bacterium-cells, most likely through hindering and preventing the development of the enzymatic control system.
  • Enhances the amount of oxygen that is transferred to the cells by the Red Blood Cells.

What Is Ozone Therapy Commonly Used As Treatment For?

  • Coronary artery disease
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Cancer support
  • Lyme disease
  • Hashimoto’s sclerosis
  • Auto Immune Diseases
  • Detoxification
  • Shingles (Herpes zoster)
  • Fungi

In addition, it is a wonderful therapy for anti-aging. Monthly treatments can assist in keeping your body younger & more vital. Ozone therapy can disinfect and treat a variety of conditions in the human body, preventing and eliminating harmful bacterial growth and other infections.

How Do You Get Ozone Therapy?

Autotherapy: This is the most common and effective way and is administered systemically. The patient sits comfortably in a chair and has 6 to 12 ounces of blood removed into a sterile IV bag. The O3 is then injected into the bag and gently mixed with the blood. The ozonated blood is then returned to the body. The entire procedure takes about 30 to 40 minutes. This method is preferable for people with cancer, heart disease, systemic infections & autoimmune diseases. Treatment frequency depends on the disorder being treated. Typically, treatments are weekly for five weeks then as needed.

Limb bagging: Used for wound management. A special bag is placed around the affected arm or leg and ozone is infused into the bag.

Rectal: For those with disorders of the gut, or patients unable to do an IV treatment, rectal ozone is an excellent way to receive treatment. The patient is given a bag filled with 200-500cc of O3 and lays comfortably on his/her side at the clinic, or at home) if the patient lives within 15-20 minutes of the office). The patient inserts a thin catheter into their rectum using olive oil as a lubricant. The patient holds the bag and gently squeezes the O3 into their body. It takes about 5-10 minutes maximum and the patient has complete control over the speed of gas insertion. Typically, rectal ozone is best done daily, five days a week for three weeks then as needed.

Vaginal: For women, vaginal ozone is an alternative for those who do not desire an IV or the rectal form of administration. There is a slight percentage loss of potency with vaginal administration vs IV, but it is still effective at getting O3into the body systemically. The patient lays comfortably on her back & inserts her own small catheter (lubricated with olive oil) into her vagina. She does this in complete privacy & staff is always available if assistance is needed. The catheter gently infuses into the vaginal area and is absorbed into the body. It takes about 20 minutes. Treatment frequencies are based on what is being treated, but typically
