Dr. Ruiz

Integrative Pediatrician and Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a centuries-old technique. Our physical body and all of its internal organs are regulated by a life force, called Qi (pronounced “chee”) which circulates throughout the body along major channels according to TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine).

Hundreds of points have been identified along these pathways that, when stimulated by needles, affect our bodily processes. When Qi flows abundantly, one can experience optimum health. When there are blockages to the flow of energy, pain and dis ”ease” occur. Acupuncture restores the body’s natural circulation of Qi, by unblocking and rebalancing the natural flow of energy throughout the body.

Acupuncture treats a wide variety of acute and chronic medical conditions which may include infant colic/gerd, allergies, fever, headache, stomach pain, ear infection, cough and cold, asthma, chronic urticarial/eczema, constipation, dysmenorrhea, musculoskeletal pain, anxiety, fatigue, and it can support a weakened immune system.

Dr. Ruiz specializes in providing integrative care to children with chronic health problems who suffer from anxiety, ADHD, autism & sensory disorders, gut problems, and autoimmune disorders including but not limited to asthma, eczema, inflammatory bowel disease, and psoriasis.

She believes that optimal health and balance can be achieved by empowering her patients and developing an integrative wellness plan suited to meet each individual’s needs.
