A Relaxing Way to Enhance your Health and Immune System

A Relaxing Way to Enhance your Health and Immune System – Lymphatic Drainage Massage.

Feeling sluggish? Tired? Can’t seem to lose that last few pounds or fluid?  Can’t shake that virus or bacteria? Prone to getting every infection that is going around? Have a history of cancer treatment?

Lymphatic Drainage Massage is the treatment for you and it is actually relaxing to have this treatment!

Let’s first review our lymphatic system: Our lymphatic system is important for the optimal functioning of our immune responses–it is basically the distribution system for our immune system–enabling our many different immune cells to circulate throughout the body.  It is also responsible for draining excess fluid from our tissues.  It is twice the size of our blood circulation system and manages almost twice as much fluid each day.

If our lymphatic system stopped working completely, we could only survive about 24-48 hours.  This system is one of the most undervalued and ignored systems in our bodies.

The lymphatic system is a “one way system” that unlike the heart, does not have a pump.  Rather it depends upon movement, gravity, and breathing to circulate lymph fluid.  The system is well designed to eliminate waste and excess fluids.  However, medical treatments (such as cancer treatments) and illnesses can block the natural drainage.  In addition, too many environmental toxins and a poor diet can overload your lymphatic system and cause a stagnation of lymphatic flow.  This blockage of flow results in excess fluid building up in your body.

As a result of blocked lymphatic drainage, you can see edema (tissue swelling) and may feel more tired and bloated.  This is what we call lymphedema.  Normally your lymphatic system collects your lymph and returns it to your heart through a network of lymph vessels and lymph nodes.  When this system gets disrupted, lymph collects in your arms and legs, making them swell.   You may also find yourself having a difficult time recovering from illnesses or more prone to illnesses since your immune system can not circulate effectively with a malfunctioning lymphatic system.

I  highly recommend that you eliminate toxins from your daily life, eat a healthy diet, and move your body daily in order to keep your lymphatic system functioning optimally.  In addition, lymphatic drainage (manual) massage is a wonderful addition to assist your body in recovering and maintaining optimal health.

Lymphatic drainage massage is a specialized form of massage therapy that gently massages specific areas of your body to unblock the lymphatic system and assist lymph in moving more freely.
This gentle massage process is relaxing yet highly therapeutic and astonishing in the reshaping of our body. This massage moves excess fluids from your tissues towards the lymphatic glands and deeply flushes them out. This helps your body to remove toxins and excess fluid, while also encouraging healthy blood flow.

This lymphatic massage helps to improve overall health and free the flowing of the lymphatic system.  Not only does this massage improve the lymphatic system, it improves the function of the whole body–improving the circulatory, respiratory, and endocrine system.   It has been proven that regular lymphatic drainage will reduce the possibility of catching a cold or suffering a virus as well as assist you in losing weight and burning calories more effectively.
Lymphatic massage is a miracle worker and an underrated healing and preventive modality to a healthier Optimal You.
