If your bowels (intestines) do not function right then you can end up bloated and tired, and it can even potentially lead to chronic diseases. You should have a normal (soft,formed) stool two to three times a day. If you do not, then you need to fix the issue.
Drink half your body weight in ounces of water per day for proper hydration. Ensure that you get lots of vegetables and other high fiber healthy food. Work with your doctor to get off any constipating medication. Get regular exercise.
